Communities Acting Against Substance Abuse
Payson, Utah

CAASA is a group of rural communities that come together to work on our own community issues. We build strong youth through community involvement.
About Us
CAASA stands for Communities Acting Against Substance Abuse and is a community coalition that encompasses the communities of: Payson, Santaquin, Goshen and Genola. CAASA works to protect the youth in our community from harmful behaviors, allowing them to become healthy, happy, and successful adults.
Issues We Address
CAASA works to decrease youth problem behaviors in the community by targeting the underlying influences that impact our youth – things that put them at risk for problems. CAASA’s top priorities for 2017-2019 include:
- Increase youth commitment to school
- Decrease youth depressive symptoms
- Decrease parental attitudes favorable to anti-social behavior
Get Involved
Help CAASA’s youth succeed by joining our Community Board. We meet once a month to accomplish items on our Community Action Plan. There are many ways to donate your time, talents or resources to help the youth in Payson, Santaquin, Goshen and Genola.
